Care, Compassion and Commitment

About our Veterinary Hospital

Wood Street Veterinary Hospital is one of the longest established practices in the South East, and one of only a handful of Approved Veterinary Hospitals in the London area. We have a highly dedicated and skilled team to look after all of your pets' needs. Staff members are on the premises 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to look after our patients. We provide an emergency service so that there is always a vet and nurse available

Established in 1900, Wood Street Veterinary Hospital has been providing exceptional animal and veterinary care for many years. Our status as a Small Animal Hospital reflects our commitment to animal care and as a centre of excellence. We are also a Registered Training Practice for Veterinary Nurses.

We have two branch surgeries, Oakwood Veterinary Surgery in Radlett and Holders Hill Veterinary Surgery in Mill Hill. Each surgery is fully equipped for everyday  treatments and operations but occasionally, when more specialised procedures are needed, your pets will be referred to the main Hospital.

An animal ambulance is available to assist our clients with transport and can also deliver medication and food when required.

The close links the hospital has with the RSPCA has always been a source of great pride for us.  Helping  charities care for animals in need provides us with a real sense of achievement.  Links with Wood Green animal centre, the Cats Protection League and the C4 cat neutering scheme, means that this charity work is part of the everyday work in the Hospital and at the branches.

Your Visit

Our friendly reception team will greet you and ensure you and your pets' contact details are up to date.

You will then be seen by one of our vets who will examine your pet in one of our fully equipped consulting rooms.

If your pet requires more in depth treatment we may wish to admit them to the hospital. We have comfortable (& separate!) accommodation both for dogs and for cats, as well as a separate area where pets who may have an infectious disease can be kept away from others.

Please see the facilities sections for more information on the services our hospital can offer you and your pets, should you need them.
